Be a core part of building the Strategy of a FTSE 250 plc which is undergoing a significant transformation, with data driven insight at the core
Our client operates nearly 500 restaurants and pubs in the UK’s casual dining sector, serving over 43 million meals each year through our a number of key brands, all of which are immediately recognisable. They also operate a Concessions business which trades at over 60 outlets across more than 30 brands, primarily in UK airports.
The Group now has a strategic focus, using insight and analytics as the key driver of operational and strategic decisions. This new team, led by a highly impressive individual, is being formed in order to have a world class function which informs decision making and strategy development through value add analysis and insights generated from consumer and competitor activity, and their own internal data.
They are currently looking for somebody with 1-2 years' experience gained in a recognised strategy consultancy to join their Strategy Team in London.
This team is run by the Strategy and Business Development Director, who reports to the CEO (Ex-OC&C Principal) and the MD (Ex-McKinsey). The new team will take responsibility for providing strategic and business recommendations for key / high value add commercial decisions e.g. pricing and promotional optimisation, brand growth strategies, operational efficiency, effectiveness of media spend etc., ensuring that data is converted into actionable insight, giving visibility on key metrics to enable a view of lead or lag indicators of performance and trends and varied other projects as needed to fulfil business objectives.
Members of the team will enjoy unrivalled exposure across the business, including the Executive Committee and CEO. The team will also work closely with other teams reporting into the Strategy and Business Development Director, for example New Business Development

- Minimum of one year of first class strategy consulting experience from a well-recognized strategy consulting firm.
- Strong degree from a top university
- High degree of numeracy
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, and ability to handle large data sets
