About the Role

We are partnering with a confidential, global leader in performance textiles and material solutions serving leading footwear, apparel, and outdoor brands worldwide. As the business enters a critical phase of growth and evolution, the company is seeking a Strategy & Transformation Director to work directly with the CEO in shaping and executing its enterprise strategy.

This is a senior, high-impact role focused on business transformation and go-to-market (GTM) strategy — not IT or systems transformation. The mandate is to help translate strategic ambition into tangible commercial results across regions, product platforms, and customer segments.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Strategy & CEO Partnership

  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO on corporate direction, growth priorities, and organizational evolution

  • Lead the development of enterprise and regional strategies, ensuring alignment with long-term value creation goals

  • Drive strategic planning cycles, executive reviews, and board-level materials as required

Business Transformation

  • Lead end-to-end business transformation initiatives, from problem definition through execution and measurable impact

  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial effectiveness, margin performance, operating leverage, and speed-to-market

  • Align cross-functional leaders across sales, product, innovation, operations, and marketing around shared priorities

Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy

  • Design and refine global and regional GTM models, including customer segmentation, value propositions, channel strategy, and pricing architecture

  • Support the evolution toward solution-led and value-based selling models

  • Partner with commercial leadership to strengthen account strategy, sales enablement, and customer engagement

  • Evaluate GTM readiness for new products, technologies, sustainability platforms, and market entries

Portfolio, Growth & Strategic Initiatives

  • Support decisions related to portfolio optimization, innovation focus, and sustainability-driven growth

  • Lead strategic analyses including market assessment, competitive intelligence, and investment prioritization

  • Contribute to M&A, partnerships, and strategic alliances where relevant

Execution, Governance & Change

  • Translate strategy into clear roadmaps, KPIs, and accountability structures

  • Establish governance to track progress and ensure disciplined execution

  • Lead change management efforts, ensuring leadership alignment and organizational buy-in

  • Serve as a catalyst for decision-making in a complex, global, matrixed environment

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 10–15+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, or GTM leadership roles

  • Background in top-tier management consulting, corporate strategy, or transformation roles within B2B, industrial, materials, or consumer-facing manufacturing businesses

  • Strong experience working in global, matrixed organizations, ideally with Asia-based leadership exposure

  • Familiarity with footwear, apparel, outdoor, or adjacent consumer ecosystems is a strong advantage

Capabilities

  • Proven ability to move from strategy to execution and value delivery

  • Deep understanding of commercial strategy, GTM design, and customer value creation

  • Strong analytical rigor combined with pragmatic, hands-on leadership

  • Executive-level communication skills and comfort engaging at CEO and board level

  • Ability to influence across cultures and functions without direct authority
