We are working on a high impact Director of Data role for a Private Equity backed Software/Technology business looking to hire a Director of Data to lead both their Data Engineering & Data Product teams for their Chicago HQ.
This is a high impact role, working directly with the CDO, to spearhead development of go-to-market, commercial solutions and rebuild the internal data environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Advance the data foundations strategy to scale the use of data and analytics across the CG, acting as a catalyst for data and analytics to enable the organization to create value
Directly lead large and medium scale projects to strengthen our data foundations and develop new go-to-market products
Engage with stakeholders to develop deep understanding of our customers, organizational strategy, and priorities, establishing strategic roadmaps to support the achievement of business objectives
Lead and drive master data management, data lineage, data dictionary, and data literacy throughout the organization
Collaborate with data architecture, data science, analytics, and business intelligence colleagues to ensure alignment and execution of shared objectives, including data source integration and platform evolution
Motivate and lead a high-performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience, including hands-on experience in data engineering and data management with 5+ years leading teams
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
Hands on expertise with Spark, Databricks, Python, dbt, Azure
MLOps, Feature Store, and Model Serving design, implementation, and operations
Extensive experience partnering with stakeholders and working with highly technical developers and analysts, with an ability to earn trust
