​We are currently working with a Boutique Independent Management Consultancy is looking to continue its expansion in New York. The firm has gained an enviable reputation of working at the heart of some of the most complex projects and programs across a range of sectors for clients including multinationals and household names. They are now looking for Management Consultants with a background in delivering complex projects and programs for one of the major consultancies (Big Four, Accenture, IBM, Capgemini etc.), who are interested in an opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a business.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • The company is best known for developing strategies that last; making technology work; delivering successful programs; and getting the most from people. In short, all the key consulting areas that underpin successful business change.  
  • The firm's proposition is different to a typical consulting organization’s pyramid structure in that every Management Consultant has at least 7 years of previous experience gained within a global consulting firm, which gives clients confidence in their ability to add true value. A typical team will rarely consist of more than 2-5 individuals, usually operating at C suite level.
  • The structure is flat, and all Management Consultants have the option of working towards Partner within the firm but equally will be supported if they choose to remain a delivery resource only or transition into industry, by introducing the individual to the firm’s client network.
  •  The culture is mature, collaborative, relaxed and this opportunity really suits Management Consultants who want a change from the traditional large consulting organization
 Essential Criteria:
  • BA/BS degree required from a top university.
  • Manager/Senior Manager level.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in either a Management Consulting firm or 5 years’ of experience from a Management Consulting firm with 2 other years’ experience from industry.
  • Significant project management experience, including the following skills:
    • Planning.
    • Stakeholder management.
    • Understanding how to resource up projects.
    • Managing/leading teams.
    • Presenting for approval/sign off.
    • In-depth experience of at least one of the key project phases.
    • Exposure to large projects (although not necessarily managing).
 
Desirable Criteria:
  • Vendor management experience.
  • In addition to strong project management skills, experience within Change Management or Strategy.
  • IT related project management.
  • Full project lifecycle experience.
  • Experience of leading large and diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing large scale projects
