I’m currently working with a leading international specialty insurer who underwrite a diverse range of personal and commercial insurance risks. Our client is going through a period of sustained and rapid growth as the business continues to expand globally and across new business lines, including building out a new Data Labs capability.
This role will be joining the highly regarded group strategy function, headed up by an ex-Mckinsey consultant, who reports directly into the ExCo and focuses on the biggest strategic questions affecting the business.
You will support general group strategy projects as well as taking a lead in driving the strategy for the Data Labs team, which sits within group strategy. This is a new team set up last year that is already having a major impact in driving revenue growth across the business and has been identified as a key growth driver for the business going forward.
This role is effectively part of the succession planning for the Head of Data Labs and you can expect to step up this position in less than 12 months.
You will be leading multiple projects at the same time, including ad hoc strategy projects for the ExCo, identifying areas of the business to apply analytics or working to implement initiatives to drive cultural change relating to data across the group.
- Consulting skillset having spent some time in strategy consulting.
- Excellent communications skills and senior stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial services knowledge, ideally insurance, would be advantageous but not a prerequisite
- Experience leading strategy projects or case teams.
