Our client is a privately held company whose portfolio consists of leading Social Media brands, Advertising, Telecommunications, Digital Media and business cloud services. They continue to achieve year on year growth through prudent investments and a collaborative management team that are always focused on both organic and inorganic growth.  Due to their success, they are looking to appoint a VP of Strategy to lead their business. 
ROLE:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President with view to the CEO, you will be recommending and providing commercial insight on all strategic initiatives across each of the brands including competitive analysis, new markets to expand, potential divestitures and reallocation of previous investments.  You will develop corporate strategies and play an essential role in leading the business through change.  In addition, you will actively work with business unit leaders and functional support teams to identify, plan, and execute complex projects across the portfolio.
This person will not only be involved in a sophisticated acquisition process but will also be required to be deeply involved in the integration and managing through the portfolio of businesses to create the framework for the long-term strategic plan. Along with these responsibilities, you will be identifying and leading new opportunities for M&A and presenting imperative data to support your analysis. This will include assessing existing business models, recognize value creation opportunities, and pursue those opportunities, commercial due diligence, market sizing, reviewing legal documents and any analysis to support your plan. 
Furthermore, assisting in the transference from the investment team to the operating team, helping to project manage while tracking acquisitions and holding the operational teams accountable to the investment models.
As a key member of the leadership team, you are expected to not only manage multiple projects simultaneously but also independently manage all phases of projects from conception through to delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience within a Social Media, Marketing Technology, or Digital Media experience preferred
  • 10-15+ years’ Management Consulting leading TMT industry projects preferred
  • Ideal candidate would have reached the Engagement Manager level before transitioning into a corporate role
  • BA / BS degree required with relevant coursework. MBA preferred
  • Advanced research and analytical skills and possess the ability to incorporate the most suitable practices and innovation into project recommendations
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to summarize information is a must
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with C-level executives and other senior leaders of the company
  • Self-motivated with a professional business etiquette
  • Advanced skillset in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
