Our client is a large, global private equity firm looking to add a VP Transformation to one of their Portfolio companies. This role will report into the Chief Transformation Officer. This person will manage a large-scale transformation program for a $500m company, manage top level strategic stakeholders, support ad hoc operational and strategic analysis, other ad hoc tasks as required, and support transformation initiatives across a number of potential areas of the business.

ROLE:

  • Pricing: Identify opportunities and putting in place tactical pricing and margin enforcement programs; identify areas where price is inconsistent with value delivered to customer.

  • Volume from growth: Identify opportunities to better use customer insight to drive revenue

  • Volume from adjacencies: Execute on opportunities to drive high probability growth adjacencies

  • Salesforce effectiveness and operating model: Improve sales deployment, effectiveness, process and tools; identify opportunities to shift to 3rd party sales and merchandising models

  • Procurement optimization: Support execution of a strategic sourcing program to reduce cost of materials and indirect expenditure

  • G&A efficiency: Eliminate redundancies and inefficiencies

  • Supply chain and distribution optimization: Execute opportunities to make supply chain leaner, more efficient while improving service levels

  • Product complexity and rationalization: Eliminate product that is not delivering value relative to manufacturing and supply chain complexity they drive

  • Outsourcing: Understand non-strategic activities in value chain that can be better performed by third party

  • IT Optimization: Understand the evolution plan of IT and the modules most likely to over and under/deliver on ROI

  • Working Capital and Cash Management: by tightening payables, getting more aggressive with receivables, reducing the order-to-cash cycle

  • M&A: future exposure to support M&A over the next 3 years including, integrations, tuck-ins, due diligence for potential acquisition targets

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8-15 years of total experience across consulting, operations, and/or corporate strategy.

  • Looking for a general athlete – post Bain, McKinsey, BCG with spikes in supply chain / and growth preferably.

  • Need experience managing large scale transformation and stakeholder management.

  • Track record of significant outperformance relative to peers and the market and demonstrated ability to drive change, facilitate growth, and affect business improvement.

  • Coachable and questioning attitude, process-oriented, an ability to flourish in fast-paced environment, have good judgement and be able to do the analytics.

  • Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Retail, or health/beauty. Preference in Strategy.

  • Prior experience or credentials in supply chain and operations is a benefit.

  • Prior experience or credentials in health and beauty growth initiatives and marketing is a benefit.

  • Knowledge of how P&L operates.

  • Personality: Honesty/Integrity, Aggressiveness, Hands-on, collaborative, high work ethic, non-reactionary, down to earth, humble.

  • MBA required.

  • Will require travel.
