With a focus on value creation and strategic growth, we are seeking a talented individual to join our team and drive ecommerce growth strategies in China for our recent regional consumer and retail investments.
Position Overview:
This role will play a pivotal role in developing and executing ecommerce growth strategies in China for our regional portfolio companies. The role will involve identifying opportunities, formulating strategic initiatives, and implementing plans to enhance online sales channels and overall market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute ecommerce growth strategies tailored to the Chinese market for our consumer & retail brands.
2. Collaborate closely with portfolio company management teams to understand business objectives and align ecommerce strategies with overall corporate goals.
3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer behaviours, and competitive landscapes in the Chinese ecommerce market.
4. Evaluate and optimize existing ecommerce platforms, processes, and technologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Identify and prioritize strategic partnerships, alliances, and distribution channels to expand market reach and accelerate growth.
6. Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to implement ecommerce initiatives and ensure successful execution.
7. Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of ecommerce strategies and identify areas for improvement.
8. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and investment team on ecommerce initiatives, performance, and opportunities in the Chinese market.
1. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
2. 8+ years of experience in consulting, ecommerce strategy, or related roles, with a focus on the Chinese market.
3. Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful ecommerce growth strategies, preferably within the consumer and retail sectors.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive informed decision-making.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Mandarin and English languages.
6. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
7. Results-oriented mindset with a passion for driving business growth and value creation.
8. Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
9. Experience working in China or Hong Kong preferred, with a deep understanding of local market dynamics and consumer preferences.
