Role Overview
This is a Group CIO position for a private-equity owned industrials and manufacturing business. As part of the value creation agenda, the CIO will develop and execute IT strategies to support business growth and operational excellence through digital platforms, ERP, cloud solutions, and secure IT infrastructure. This global role will oversee IT transformation programs, optimize returns on IT investments, and coordinate IT systems, infrastructure, and services across the organization. Key priorities include digital customer platforms (B2B), cloud/SaaS adoption, cybersecurity, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
IT Strategy
Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy to enable the organization to achieve its strategic and operational objectives.
Collaborate with senior management, business units, and external partners to align IT initiatives with business goals.
Lead the IT function globally, fostering a high-performance, innovative, and customer-focused team.
Oversee IT budget, resource allocation, and investment planning to optimize returns and ensure cost-effective technology solutions.
Establish robust IT governance, policies, standards, and processes across all IT domains.
Technology Value Creation and Transformation
Translate business strategy into actionable technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with growth objectives.
Drive global IT transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations, customer-facing digital platforms, and software development projects.
Lead M&A IT integration, from due diligence through post-merger implementation, ensuring seamless operational continuity.
Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and development of new IT capabilities.
Ensure adoption of SaaS/cloud-first solutions, maintain infrastructure resilience, and strengthen cybersecurity posture.
Delivery Excellence & Operations
Manage large-scale IT programs and projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope, and budget compliance.
Optimize IT operations, including supplier and vendor management, end-user services, network infrastructure, and enterprise applications.
Implement ITIL-based service management practices, KPIs, and governance frameworks to drive operational efficiency and accountability.
Support ongoing ERP and enterprise application operations while enhancing IT standardization and simplification.
Requirements
Experience & Technical Expertise
10+ years in senior IT leadership roles within global organizations, prior experience at private-equity owned businesses is advantageous
Proven experience leading comprehensive IT and digital transformation programs from strategy through execution.
Demonstrated expertise in M&A IT integration, including due diligence and synergy realization.
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), cloud/SaaS platforms, data analytics, networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture.
Strong understanding of ITIL, SDLC, DevOps/SecOps, and IT governance frameworks.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; advanced certifications (e.g., ITIL) preferred.
Fluent English; Cantonese/Mandarin advantageous.
