Work across the retail sector with a broad range of businesses, industry partners, other MO’s and government in order to solve problems our members can’t solve on their own. Be known as a useful resource and strategic networking partner to the retail sector.

Develop a deep understanding of business standards and of key retail priorities, in order to drive and sustain growth of business UK membership. Be an expert who can confidently qualify the ‘reasons to believe’ in business standards.

  • Know how business standards work, why they are useful and how they can be used to deliver business benefit (digital and traditional)

  • Using structured account management process develop and sustain membership growth and retention within the sector to meet agreed KPIs

  • Acquire a deep understanding of key retail business priorities and strategic challenges through reading, attending conferences and conversations with your network

  • Stay up to date on ESG legislation and identify opportunities to support our members with standards adoption that enable supply chain visibility

  • Identify case studies where our partners and members have adopted company standards and seen genuine commercial benefit and operational efficiencies

  • Adopt a future facing mindset which looks to use standards to prevent / resolve issues of major national and global importance

  • Find ways to share and offer genuine ‘reasons to believe’ in the power of adopting standards – whether that’s on regular calls with our key member accounts, during round table meetings, white papers and co-authored thought leadership

  • Demonstrate quality connections with new and existing members and stakeholder communities

  • Build our reputation of being a trusted advisor to industry, acting always with integrity and doing what is right for our members

  • Publicly promoting and acting as an ambassador for company. Advocating what we do and how we help solve industry challenges

  • Grow company UK brand positioning, increasing its relevance within the Retail sector through relevant, targeted networking and collaboration, including with government, sector partners, other MO’s. charities and industry bodies

  • Raise awareness and campaign for the adoption of company standards. Demonstrate active participation in programmes, public conversations, and collaborative agendas in support of and in conjunction with ‘UK Retail plc’
