Our client is a large, global private equity firm looking to add a Director of Transformation to one of their Portfolio companies in the Aerospace & Defense vertical.
ROLE:
This Director of Transformation will play a pivotal part in the execution of the value creation strategy for the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Transformation Officer this person will be responsible for driving company-wide transformation initiatives, manage top level strategic stakeholders, support ad hoc operational and strategic analysis, and support transformation initiatives across a number of potential areas of the business.
The successful candidate will be someone with a proven track record in large-scale transformation as a consultant, with a preference for experience within industrials, aerospace, defense, and or tech/software businesses.
Support a company-wide transformation program that ensures the execution of the strategy and achieves performance goals.
Thoroughly dissect and deploy the strategy as executable deliverables.
Maintains a system of reviews and accountability that provide real-time insight into the performance of the initiatives and projects supported.
Coordinate root cause analysis of performance issues and ensure action intervention.
Supports a healthy change management approach that engages people and develops talent.
Provide hands-on execution leadership of strategic initiatives.
Use data-driven analytics and root-cause analysis to build fact-based decision models while coaching others to do the same.
Apply professional project management techniques, within the frame of the governance process.
Build/ apply project management tools and methods that are repeatable across the organization and establish a network of internal experts to support the spread of their use.
Establish measurable KPIs and OKRs for each deliverable; provide regular reports and scorecards on progress against initiatives and targeted results for each.
REQUIREMENTS:
6+ years of consulting experience, industry experience post-consulting is a plus
Looking for a general athlete within transformation and change – current or post Bain, McKinsey, BCG
Experience operating in the Aerospace & Defense, Industrials, software/technology sectors preferred.
Experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives, including broad programs requiring change management via a systematic approach or governance process.
Track record of successfully managing multiple work streams in parallel and delivering results against time-sensitive deadlines.
Expert financial, quantitative, and analytical skills; able to baseline and track operational KPIs.
Exhibits a high level of initiative; challenges and explores new ideas while understanding and communicating the risks to the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, engineering, or related discipline required; MBA preferred.
Ability to travel domestically (~25-50%) and internationally as required.
