I have an opportunity to work part-time as a senior advisor directly for a Pan-European, Large-Cap PE fund as the Tech & Product lead both internally and across the portfolio where required. Our clients are seeking a CPTO/Senior Technology Advisor at fund level to focus on a particular portfolio's technology & product strategy. The role will require both technical/data (including AI) and product expertise, complemented by a commercial nature, at this stage the client is prepared to flex between candidates that lend themselves more to either tech or product.
Responsibilities:
As a CPTO, your role will be in driving technology strategies and enhancing portfolio performance thus demonstrable success will be essential to influencing the portco-suite. Your responsibilities will include:
Technology Leadership:
Develop and implement technology strategies to support the fund's objectives.
Oversee the integration of technologies within our portfolio companies.
Lead hiring strategies for tech & product practices
Ensure execution of projects on time
Portfolio Optimisation:
Collaborate with portfolio companies to enhance operational efficiency through technology-driven solutions.
Identify opportunities for synergies and value creation across the portfolio.
Identify value creation opportunities through tech & product optimisation
Private Equity Expertise:
Leverage your private equity experience to provide strategic insights.
Evaluate and mitigate technology-related risks across the investment lifecycle.
Requirements:
Experience in a C-level technology/product role.
Fluent in English and either French, Italian, Dutch, or German.
Background in computer science or a related field.
Exceptional influencing skills
Real-world, portfolio Private Equity experience is essential
Mid-Large Cap Fund experience will be required
