ROLE:
We are recruiting for a global media/advertising company who are looking to expand their corporate development team. This position will concentrate on corporate growth activities such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, reorganizations, and integrations. Principal duties include strategic goal analysis, financial modeling, project management, and presentations.
The ideal applicant will have at least ten years of relevant expertise, such as corporate development experience in a big worldwide organization or at a top investment bank or private equity firm. MBA from a top-tier institution is desired.
  • Manage both internal & external transaction teams with oversight on the due diligence procedures
  • Maintain oversight of the current acquisition portfolio, including the management of any earnouts, option payments, and term adjustments as required.
  • Analyze incoming transaction offers to determine their strategic compatibility within the company portfolio, in addition to sourcing proprietary deal opportunities
  • Develop financial models and valuation evaluations to then negotiate and execute deals Collaborate with the various divisions to carry out divestments, reorganizations, and strategic investments
  • Produce documents for evaluation with senior management and the board of directors that include both strategic and financial support information
  • Conduct a performance analysis of acquisitions for the benefit of senior management and the board of directors
  • Partner with Finance - Tax, Treasury, Real Estate, Insurance and assist the legal team with writing of term sheets and final documents. Manage a team of managers and analysts
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in corporate development from a top investment bank or private equity firm, together with a minimum of ten years of relevant experience and a master's degree in business administration is preferred
  • Willingness to assume full responsibility for initiatives and see them through to a successful conclusion
  • Possession of a creative mind and the ability to provide novel solutions to challenging situations
  • Excellent knowledge of business finances as well as the current best practices for financial modeling
  • A working knowledge of relevant legal paperwork (term sheets, purchase agreements)
  • Analytical skills and the capacity to solve problems must be able to be shown
