Our client is a leading European mid-market PE fund. Having recently closed a new record fund (~€3b) they are now looking to expand their investment team in Dublin.
The fund supports and partners with entrepreneurs in realising their ambitions by helping them to build better businesses. They play an active role in their portfolio companies, committing significant time to strategic and operational development, growth and performance. With an investment team that has significant real business experience, having owned and run businesses themselves, they help their partners to obtain a strong market position, through consolidation and internationalisation.
As a Senior Associate you will work in a small investment team and work across the full deal cycle from origination to execution and hands-on portfolio management, where you will be actively involved in the portfolio companies’ growth strategy (M&A and organic).
Elements of the role will include:
Carrying out market and industry analysis
Identification and detailed analysis of suitable target companies and markets
Development of investment concepts from a strategic and financial point of view
Modelling and structuring of acquisitions.
Management of the due diligence and negotiation process up to the completion of investments.
Responsible management of 1 - 2 portfolio companies with tasks including:
Development of new acquisition and growth strategies for the portfolio companies
Supervision of investments and active support of portfolio management in implementing the agreed growth strategy
Identification of possible company acquisitions
Preparation and execution of the sales process
Requirements:
~6 years of total work experience across either PE, investment firms, entrepreneurial ventures, strategy consulting, corporate development, corporate finance, or banking
Industry or hands-on operational and entrepreneurial experience beneficial
