This is a newly created Senior Director, Portfolio Operations position for a UK-based private equity fund which has recently closed a USD 800M Asia fund. They have and will be actively making acquisitions in 2023 and as a result seeking the talents of a high-calibre individual to join their Portfolio Operations team based in Singapore.

ROLE:

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Head of Portfolio Operations responsible for driving operational changes and value creation for Asia portfolio companies
  • Collaborate with portfolio companies’ senior leadership team to identify and address major strategic and operational areas in value creation, ie – go-to-market strategy, product development branding, resource and cost optimization, development of operational/financial KPIs and dashboards
  • Business partner to Investment, senior leadership, and board of directors, acting as the bridging point to ensure portfolio(s) are effectively driving operational excellence and efficiency
  • Assess investment opportunities through conducting operational and commercial due diligence, working closely with the Investment team
  • Develop, accumulate, and share best practices with the Portfolio Operations team, creating an effective operational playbook for the broader portfolio

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 10 years working experience in top tier management consulting firms; additional in-industry experience would be a plus
  • Prior coverage of Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, and/or Consumer Goods verticals within Asia
  • Demonstrated track record in stakeholder management – effectively partnering with C-suite team, investors, functional and market leads
  • Developed a comprehensive and solid consulting toolkit with outstanding leadership, problem solving, and project management / execution skills
  • Fluency in English; additional languages would be advantageous
