ROLE: This opportunity is within our client’s Performance Improvement consulting practice. They are looking for Managing Director candidates to help build this offering.
The ideal candidate will be the driving force behind guiding clients through the intricate process of integrating or separating businesses in the context of M&A. Your role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless transition, maximizing synergies, and minimizing disruptions. You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to provide expert advisory services in integration and separation management.
  • Working directly with clients to develop and execute comprehensive integration or separation strategies, encompassing organizational design, technology, and operational changes, with a keen focus on maximizing value.
  • Comfortable creating, maintaining, and growing client relationships.
  • Leading completion of client deliverables and presentations with high degree of clarity, rigor and attention to detail.
  • Support development of service-line playbooks, proprietary perspective and thought leadership.
  • Participate in firm equity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Client Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, gaining a deep understanding of their specific integration or separation objectives and challenges.
  • Integration / Separation Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive integration or separation strategies, encompassing organizational design, technology, and operational changes, with a keen focus on maximizing value.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct in-depth due diligence to identify risks, opportunities, and critical integration/separation points, informing the overall strategy.
  • Financial Analysis: Utilize financial analysis, modeling, and valuation techniques to assess the financial implications of integration or separation decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, managing negotiations, and coordinating the execution of integration/separation plans.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies, including contingency plans.
  • Change Management: Implement change management strategies to ensure a smooth transition and employee engagement during integration or separation processes.
  • Post-Integration Assessment: Evaluate the success of integration efforts, providing insights for ongoing improvement and adjustment as necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of consultants and analysts to deliver exceptional results in integration and separation management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Extensive experience in integration & separation management, mergers & acquisitions, or and management consulting.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and valuation.
  • Established professional network in Private Equity.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
