COMPANY:
We are supporting one of the most successful Tier 1 banks build out their new central strategy function. Our client is growing globally, and the next 18 months will be key to defining their post-pandemic strategy.
The Bank has confirmed a major wave of investment across the group and the next two years are going to be focused on employing this investment to drive innovation, growth and structure globally.
ROLE:
This role will be joining the Group strategy team, which overlooks the entire bank’s global strategy decision making. This team reports directly into the CEO as well working closely with the different business unit leaders to help put this strategy into action.
The team focuses on the biggest strategic questions impacting the business, such as the next 5-year strategy plan, defining the bank’s approach to Fintechs and expanding in Asia.
This team will be split between two geographies, you will be responsible for leading the London based team. You will take responsibility for leading multiple project teams of ex-top tier consultants simultaneously.
There is a strong track record of ex-consultants stepping out of strategy into P&L responsibility in 18-24 months. Equally, you can become the next Head of Strategy, depending on where you want to take your career.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience leading and managing strategy projects in a top tier consulting or corporate strategy background.
- Excellent stakeholder management experience essential, with corresponding excellent communication and influencing skills observable.
- Excellent knowledge around financial services.
- Experience operating globally is beneficial but a prerequisite.
