​My Client are a Govt Advisory firm based in Dubai. They help governments in the Gulf and beyond to develop, lead and deliver positive programmes that successfully promote their global interests. Their clients are government organisations and their leaders, including centre-of-government entities, ministries, authorities, agencies and state-owned enterprises
A unique opportunity has arisen to join their new business team as Deputy Head of Global B.D (Director). The salary for the post is between $126K - $140K USD + additional performance bonus. The role also has a relocation package included. This role can be based in Dubai or Saudi Arabia, but requires 3 days a week to be worked over in Saudi.
The purpose of this role is to deliver a world-class new business lead generation and management operation that captures, nurtures, and wins new accounts. They are seeking an individual with a background in new business development in the region and with a deep understanding of communications, policy and strategy.
You will support the Client's new business growth and diversification efforts through lead generation, tracking and coordination. You will report to the Head of Global New Business, with regular engagement with heads of practices, head of proposals, the managing partner and chief of staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead generation, assessment, tracking and engagement.
  • Drive lead generation practice to maintain a strong pipeline of new business.
  • Assess, manage, and track all conversations and qualified leads, identifying ways to move a conversation to a lead and strengthen their competitive advantage for qualified leads to deliver a win.
  • Create a guidance document on their new business approach and regularly brief staff, particularly new joiners to ensure consistency in new business efforts; creating a wide team of ‘sellers.’
  • Coordinate weekly lead-proposal coordination group and senior new business call with a clear agenda and follow up on agreed tasks.
Preferred experience:
  • 10-12 years’ experience in business development or account management, preferably in the Gulf.
  • Successful track record in leading pitches and coordinating new business efforts across an entire firm.C
  • Project management and experience working a CRM.
  • A background in strategic communications/government advisory.
