Our client is a large FTSE100 utilities company, undergoing a period of growth, change, and diversification. They have ambitious plans to compete in new markets and revolutionise their industry. As a result, they are now seeking a Head of Strategy to take a senior role in driving their strategic initiatives.
The role reports directly to the Executive Committee and is of critical importance to developing the company’s corporate strategy and growth plans. The Head of Strategy will drive M&A processes and opportunities as they arise, as well as facilitate and run annual board strategy topics, based on rigorous market, competitive and strategic analyses.
-Key responsibilities will include-
-Setting the overall strategic direction
-Leading the strategy work programme
-Maintaining excellent stakeholder engagement across multiple business units
-Structuring and executing high level strategic initiatives
-Undergraduate degree, level 2.1 or equivalent preferred, MBA desirable
-Must have experience working in a top-tier strategy consulting firm
-Ability to lead, and manage teams, to create and deliver strategic objectives
-Experience working in utilities, infrastructure, or a related regulated industry.
-Expert in rigorous strategic analysis, leading to the implementation of critical work programmes.
-Excellent communication and influencing skills.
-Proven track record of working within a highly confidential and often price sensitive environment.
