Head of M&A

My client is a private equity backed international software business. The company has c €550m turnover, operates in 26+ countries, and has around 30k customers. They are now looking to increase the size of their acquisitions and as such are looking for an experienced expert to join as Head of M&A to lead their next phase of growth, working closely with the C-Suite.


- Oversee all acquisition activities in a period of strong planned inorganic growth

- End-to-end responsibility for origination to deal execution and PMI structuring

- Reporting to EVP Strategy & Operations in close collaboration with CEO and CFO

- Weekly interactions with PE shareholders and regular updates to board


-  8+ more of experience in M&A, strategy or transaction services roles

- Minimum 3 years experience doing M&A in the software industry with strong preference for corporate M&A experience

- Track record of end-to-end delivery (origination to deal execution) – Examples of successful origination to execution required

- Proven ability for independent and creative thinking on value creating deal rationale - Able to evaluate at how different potential acquisitions could be repositioned to add value to the business 

- Prior experience in leading all aspects of deal execution (due diligences, SPA, etc)

- Strong analytical capabilities and good communication skills
