COMPANY:
Our client, a Private Equity fund operating in the SEA region, are looking for a SVP will who be part of a team expanding and managing a portfolio of private investments by acquiring and holding majority stakes in unlisted businesses.
ROLE:
They will be required to work closely with senior \leadership on M&A, strategy and investment analysis, and asked engage with portfolio companies on business building, strategy and innovation, capital allocation and general management.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Engage the management teams of portfolio companies to evaluate business performance, assess strategy, value creation, and monitor the competitive landscape
- Advise internal stakeholders on both new investment opportunities and exit plans for existing holdings
- Perform investment analysis, execute M&A transaction and oversee operational execution
- Lead project teams with associates, analysts, and advisors where required
- Produce quarterly performance packs that assess portfolio companies and present those packs to internal leadership
- Promote and implement good governance standards within portfolio companies
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as investment banks and external consultants
REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience within an elite private equity group, or experience at a top investment bank, management consulting firm or similar qualification
- Exceptional relational skills, able to represent the company well when interacting with operating companies or other external parties
- Passion for financial markets, investments and business
- International business background, able to work easily across cultures and geographies
- Good communication skills and be very well spoken
- Polished and professional appearance
- Ability to work at speed, and multi-task
- Positive attitude, be an “energizer”
- Meticulous attention to detail and numbers
- Ideally with a top tier MBA
