Our client is a leading global firm in the Agri space.
ROLE:
This role is based in Singapore. The primary function of this position is to (i) actively support business lines in defining their strategy and implementing strategic projects; and (ii) Support the deputy Head of Strategy and the Chief Strategy Officer in the (i) definition  (ii) Implementation and (ii) communication of the group’s strategy
Strategic Projects
Lead cross-functional strategic projects. Example of strategic projects include new market analysis, identifying growth path for existing businesses, assessing new business opportunities for the group in given regions / countries, assessment of business diversification potential etc.
In support of Business Development and M&A activities of the group, undertake industry research, financial analysis, investment synthesis and strategic due diligence on companies
Market Intelligence
Maintain a continual awareness of the industry, emerging trends and opportunities including but not limited to competition, changes in customer preference, and improvements in technology
Cultivate and establish network and relationships with companies, corporate partners and other relevant institutions
Leverage on market/customer research, trends, and competitor info to produce market and competitors analysis and communicate analytical findings to management and business lines heads in a cohesive manner
Global Strategy
Provide further insight into the group’s overall strategy
Refresh corporate strategy and vision from time to time and help communicating both to within the organisation
Guide business lines’ management in evaluating long term strategic direction / options and value creation initiatives
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED:
  • Define the strategic direction and priorities
  • Lead development of key strategic planning processes, define resources and inputs to refresh and execute annual strategy plan
  • Closely collaborate and build strong relationships with key business leaders to define the strategic pillars for their departments and help to define key initiatives which will drive commercial results.
  • Develop structured and substantiated materials to articulate strategy plan to stakeholders such as Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team
  • Work closely with the Research team to shape relevant industry analysis and development of market insights
  • Participate actively in the preparation of timely, high-quality reports and materials for the EVP of Strategy & Business Development, CEO, and other senior management
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 10 years experience
  • Strategy Consulting background from MBB, Big 4 or Tier 2 Consulting
  • Strong strategy development and execution professional experience
  • Experience in the Agri sector
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong communicator who is comfortable working with senior leaders and broad set of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, foster strong relationships and ability to influence others
