Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Mergers and Acquisitions to lead our corporate development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, strategy, and deal execution, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex M&A transactions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the company's M&A strategy in alignment with overall business objectives and growth targets.
Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, conducting thorough financial and strategic analysis to assess fit and feasibility.
Lead cross-functional deal teams throughout the entire M&A process, from initial due diligence to post-merger integration.
Negotiate and structure M&A transactions, including purchase agreements, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, to maximize value and minimize risk.
Collaborate with senior leadership to gain alignment on strategic priorities and secure approval for proposed transactions.
Manage relationships with external advisors, including investment bankers, legal counsel, and valuation experts, to support deal execution.
Drive integration planning and execution efforts to ensure seamless transition and realization of synergies post-acquisition.
Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities to identify potential acquisition targets and inform strategic decision-making.
Provide regular updates and presentations to executive management and the board of directors on M&A pipeline, progress, and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
Proven track record of leading and closing complex M&A transactions across various industries and geographies.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, able to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience managing and mentoring teams to deliver exceptional performance.
Deep understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations related to M&A transactions.
