My client is a portfolio company recently acquired by a leading global investment firm. They are a market leader in the pharmaceutical space with a reputation for high quality products and reliability. The company has a global footprint with manufacturing sites and sales offices all over the world and 2,500+ employees. They are on a strong growth path and, with the backing of the Private Equity investors, aiming to double their revenue over the next years organically and through acquisitions.
This role is crucial to the execution of the growth plan. The individual will work closely with the investors and senior stakeholders (executive committee and senior management team) to design and implement a range of transformative M&A and strategic initiatives. The role will be responsible for carrying out acquisitions (from targeting to closing and PMI) as well as developing and implementing the initial phases of the long-term strategic plan.
This role reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer (ex-Bain) with the opportunity to progress into other functions within the business in the future.
- Strategy consulting and/or investment banking experience and/or M&A in pharmaceutical companies
- Knowledge and previous project experience of the pharmaceutical / healthcare world
- Experience as a project manager and / or industry experience and / or experience in banking
- Experience across the deal value chain (market mapping, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, closure, PMI) is strongly preferred. Due diligence and PMI experience is a must.
