Overview:
Global commodities business looking to grow its internal management consulting arm. At a fundamental level, this team supports the wider organization to own and solve its critical business problems internally. Our client operates in 35 countries and has been in operation for almost 150 years.
Senior Consultant Responsibilities:
  • Process large quantities of data in an efficient & organized manner
  • Constructively challenge the status-quo and provide input into strategies to optimize the business performance
  • Actively and respectfully share your point of view in a multi stakeholder context
  • Help plan and scope the required activities needed as part of a variety of projects
  • Deliver results to the organization and ensure the implementation plans to support your recommendations are in place
  • Ensure all material and documents are appropriately captured in the company's knowledge management system
  • Recommend cross-fertilization of practices across the global client group in collaboration with the team's leadership
Manager Responsibilities:
  • Work with the team and business leaders to identify and scope consulting projects which create value for Product Group assets and Functions
  • Autonomously deliver one or more projects at a time, managing the interface and ensuring strong collaboration with the project client and their teams
  • Develop and present sustainable short and long term project recommendations
  • Develop and lead the project work plan for a combined team of consultants and client team members to deliver outcomes
  • Lead the recruitment, coaching and development of several consultants

Requirements and Skills:
  • 3-5 years (Senior Consultant) OR 4-7 years (Manager) of experience leading either consulting projects in a top-tier consulting firm or complex, company-wide projects within a corporate environment
  • Experience leading teams in operational settings, with relevant industry experience highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting analysis, ensuring accurate and updated data from varying sources and interpreting complex results to find key opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise critical thinking and challenge the status quo
  • Good understanding of business improvement principles and practices
  • Experience in project management and change management
  • The ability to work in English and French as clients are bilingual
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. MBA desirable.
