About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Director of Mergers & Acquisitions to lead and execute strategic transactions on a global scale. Based in Hong Kong, this individual will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and executing inorganic growth opportunities across key international markets, including Asia-Pacific, EMEA, and the Americas.
As a key member of the Global Strategy and Corporate Development team, you will work closely with C-level executives, business unit leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive end-to-end M&A activity — from target sourcing and due diligence through to negotiation, deal execution, and post-merger integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Sourcing & Strategy
Develop and maintain a global M&A pipeline aligned with the company’s strategic priorities.
Work with business leaders and external advisors to identify acquisition targets and partnership opportunities.
Financial Analysis & Valuation
Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning for potential transactions.
Conduct commercial assessments and synergy analyses to support investment decisions.
Due Diligence & Execution
Oversee cross-functional due diligence, including financial, operational, legal, and commercial workstreams.
Lead or support deal structuring, negotiations, and documentation (term sheets, SPAs, etc.).
Stakeholder Management
Serve as a key point of contact with external advisors, including investment banks, legal counsel, consultants, and auditors.
Prepare and present materials for Executive Committee and Board approvals.
Integration & Post-Deal Support
Collaborate with business units and integration teams to ensure successful post-deal implementation and value capture.
Track post-acquisition performance and key KPIs.
Qualifications & Experience:
10+ years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity
Proven track record of leading and executing cross-border M&A transactions.
Deep understanding of deal structuring, valuation methodologies, and due diligence processes. Strong financial due diligence skills are a must
Experience operating in a fast-paced, matrixed, and global environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
