A world-leading, PE-backed logistics firm is seeking a Lead Data Consultant, with an expertise in Power BI. Using cutting-edge technology to leverage data-driven insights, this Private Equity portfolio company is a market leader in its field.
The candidate must be an expert in Power BI, and is expected to bridge the gap between the technical and commercial teams, to ensure maximum efficiency in leveraging the data available.
Role:
Serve as a bridge between the technical and commercial teams.
Understanding and translating the the business requirements into data-driven solutions.
Report directly into the Director of Group Finance and the Head of Data
Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to analyse and translate business requirements into reports, dashboards, and data models.
Providing valuable, actionable insights from this analysis to enhance strategic decision-making.
Utilising your expertise in Power BI to develop models and visualisations, whilst supporting capability development amongst analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally and with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges and provide data/analysis for improved decision-making.
Ensure key metrics and KPIs to measure business performance are in place, and assist in shaping the foundations for long-term improvement.
Collaborate with the Data Team to not only ensure all departments have synergy across data pipelines, but to add and improve existing ones too.
Solutions for business problems are low maintenance, well-monitored, secure, and scalable.
Shape Power BI data solutions from inception to deployment.
Work within the data delivery and tools framework to assure consistent quality, controlled change, and maximise group-wide benefits.
Requirements:
Expert in Reports Development and Automation/Software Development using Power BI.
Extensive experience in demonstrating success contributing to the design of successful digital products and services.
Must have worked cross-functionally and demonstrate how their contributions with senior stakeholders have led to business success.
Azure experience.
Power BI service architecture design and administration.
Previous experience within PE/VC-backed portfolios is preferable but not essential.
